Hello everyone! . Ever since I have encountered cryptography using a ti-86 at college I never seem to be able to understand it well. I am well versed at all the other chapters , but this particular chapter seems to be my weak point. Can some one guide me in understanding it well?

This story sounds familiar to me. Although I was good in math for many years, when I attended Remedial Algebra there were a lot of algebra topics that seemed so complicated . I remember I got a very bad mark when I took the exam on cryptography using a ti-86. Now I don't have this issue anymore, I can solve anything without problem, even adding fractions and linear algebra. I was lucky that I didn't spend my money on a teacher , because I heard of Algebrator from a student . I have been using it since then whenever I had to solve something complicated.

It is good to know that you wish to improve your math and are taking efforts to do so. I think you should try Algebrator. This is not exactly a tutoring software but it provides solutions to math problems in a very descriptive manner. And the best thing about this software product is that it is very user friendly. There are a lot of demos given under various topics which are quite useful to learn the subject. Try it and wish you good luck with math.

I remember having often faced difficulties with side-side-side similarity, greatest common factor and solving inequalities. A really great piece of math program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Basic Math, Algebra 2 and Remedial Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
