how to solve a linear cost function

Hi! Our class just started doing a new topic in math about how to solve a linear cost function and I did pretty well for most assignments we had but the latest one my professor gave really complicated so I'd love if somebody would help me to understand it! It’s a problem solving homework my algebra professor gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried solving it but still can’t get it right. I can’t answer it with ease unlike the other assignments. I had no trouble doing my past assignments but this particular homework with specific topic of interval notation just gives me difficulty just knowing how to start . I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really be grateful if somebody help me in discussing the steps and how to answer it in a organized and clear way.

I understand your situation because I had the same issues when I went to high school. I was very weak in math, especially in how to solve a linear cost function and my grades were terrible .
