I'm just wondering if someone can give me a few pointers here so that I can understand the basics of how to do quadric equations. I find solving problems really difficult. I work part time and thus have no time left to take extra tutoring . Can you guys suggest any online tool that can assist me with this subject?

You might want to try out Algebrator. I bought it some time back to help me with my Algebra 2 course and I can say that it was really a good choice . There are so many examples provided which you can browse through. You can also try out the questions related to algebraic signs and 3x3 system of equations by just typing them in. Algebrator provides detailed description to the problems which helps to make difficult concepts understandable . I would say that this program is absolutely the best that money can buy.

I remember having problems with function definition, function range and graphing parabolas. Algebrator is a truly great piece of algebra software. I have used it through several algebra classes - Algebra 1, Basic Math and Intermediate algebra. I would simply type in the problem and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
