examples of math prayers is my biggest problem. Can some one assist me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for starting this subject?

I remember having often faced problems with system of equations, decimals and system of equations. A truly great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Basic Math, College Algebra and Intermediate algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
